“Haan Mein Baap Banne Wala Hoon,” Confirms Shahid Kapoor.
Since a few days, there have been reports about Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira being pregnant. Taking an opportunity at the Udta Punjab trailer launch, the actor was asked about the same for a confirmation. Shahid who shies away from talking about personal life came under pressure and responded in a filmy style saying, “Haan mein baap banne wala hoon.” Mira who tied the knot with Shahid in July 2015 is said to be half way through her pregnancy.
Shahid's outburst had the audience in splits. What made the episode special was the fact that his ex-lover Kareena Kapoor Khan was standing a step away from him.
The trailer showcases Shahid as a Punjabi rockstar who is addicted to drugs. "I had a tough time understanding the role and learning the mannerisms of a drug addict. It was difficult for me as I don’t even drink so I have no clue of what it's like to be high," he said.
His co-star Alia Bhatt plays the role of a Bihari labourer and stunned everyone with her performance in the trailer. Whereas, the glamarous Kareena is seen in a demure look of a doctor. The Abhishek Chaubey directorial launches Diljit Dosanj, a popular name from Punjabi film industry, into Bollywood as a cop.
